Updated Promo Video of Medallion Display Stand

I finally updated the promo video for my medallion display stand. The old hand-carved foam one has been discontinued for a while now so I suppose it was about time I removed it.

So here is a new look at the stand with a hands-on demo showing its scale and close up views.

New pics from Ridley Scott's "Prometheus"

Check out these new pics from Ridley Scott's upcoming sci-fi flick, "Prometheus" HERE.

Looks really cool. No one's come up front admitting this is a pseudo-prequel to his original "Alien" film from 1979, but these images sort of speak for themselves. Kind of obvious now.

If you haven't yet... watch "Super 8"

I had the chance to finally check out this flick last night. I gotta say I was impressed. Many have said this is a very Spielbergian film, drawing from some of his old-school sensibilities from the 70s and 80s, and I can concur. In fact there are several hints and homages to Spielberg, back when his films were mega-blockbusters and just pure fun.

Some have walked out of this disappointed, but I'm guessing they missed the intention of director J.J. Abrams. It's not a monster movie. It's kind of a buddy film with a monster in it. Without spoiling anything I'll say it's the charm and heart that hits this movie out of the park. The characters are all great. I kept thinking E.T., Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and Jurassic Park while watching it. Some may find a little bit of Goonies in there, too. My reaction... it's a really neat genre homage film.

The Blu-ray is nothing short of spectacular. I'd dare to say it's the best darn looking Blu-ray film transfer I've seen so far! It's amazing how great film can look in high definition when the studios don't mess with it with zealous use of noise reduction and edge enhancement. If they let the film be itself and let it look faithfully like film on Blu-ray the results can be as spectacular as this Blu-ray title. Highly recommended, if just for one viewing!

4/5 stars

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Just want to wish everyone an awesome thanksgiving! As we take this day aside to enjoy sharing a meal together with our friends and family and be thankful for our blessings, let's not forget those who aren't as fortunate. Keep them in mind and in your prayers.

Peace, and enjoy the turkey!

Beware The WAMPUG!!!

I think the face and the waddle makes it all the more priceless...

New Art Print Available

I recently dug up a few of my old illustrations I forgot I still had. This particular one I'm particularly fond of. It was originally derived from a ball-point pen sketch. It is now available as an 11" x 17" photographic print.

Welcome to the Landron Artifacts Blog!

Hi folks!

This here is my first ever post on the new Landron Artifacts Blog. Here you will find (as the header description suggests) news, updates, and maybe a rant or two if you're lucky.

Of the half a dozen people who visit this site, a couple of them may have noticed the lack of updates and items being sold out for a while. Truth is I've been busy on other stuff and have been in a deplorably lazy mood. Coming this Christmas season I'm getting back on track and producing stuff again, with a few new projects on the horizon (hopefully).

First order of business, Siva Linga stones as of this writing, are BACK IN STOCK!

I only have a few on hand at this time but more small batches will be produced  in the coming weeks.

You can order yours HERE.

Next up, the Medallion Display Stands are also being worked on and there will be a batch up for sale again soon.
